You can pick your remaining players for round 2 now. Gold Coast and GWS have byes so coaches in a league can pick players from those teams in the positions they were named last week. They will be given their average score towards your team total.

No footy makes Homer something something so last weekend we held the count for the Footy Rocks Dermlow Medal. The player who gets the highest Footy Rocks score in each game gets 3 votes. Next highest gets 2. Then 1. If there is a tie then both players get the votes. Players are still eligible for the Dermlow even if they get suspended because that stupid Brownlow rule is a throwback to the days before there were cameras everywhere and you had to do something outrageous in front of an umpire to get reported. It's round 12 and byes are back. Pick your players from the Thursday night game now and come back tomorrow to finish your team. As usual, bye players will be available in the position they were named last week and will automatically get their average score when results are calculated.

Round 5 is here. Collingwood and Sydney have byes so their players will be available in their round 4 positions and will get their average score so far for the year towards your total. Pick your team now before they all get suspended for calling eachother names like they are in an Xbox Halo lobby.

Round 3 is the big Easter round with games from Thursday to Monday. Suns and Giants have byes so you can pick players from those teams now under the usual bye rules. The teams for Geelong and Hawthorn will not be named until Sunday afternoon so they will be available to select NOW in their round 2 positions but with round 3 scores. Pick your team before they allegedly sneak off for secret drug testing and fake an injury.

We're back for the traditional season opener (wait, what?) between Richmond and Carlton tomorrow night. Players from those teams are available for selection now. Then come back after that game to pick the rest of your team before the AFL introduces any more stupid rounds that break everybody's software.

We're setting everything up for another year. We'll be ignoring round zero because it is a stupid idea. The byes after round 1 will be treated as normal byes.
